SPC Plugins has announced the release of Gater v1.2 - a free 16th-note (semi-quaver) gate sequencer or 'trance' gate - and Wobbulator v2.2 - a $10 stereo ring modulator with distortion, sample rate reduction and cross-modulation. Both are available as VST effect plug-ins for Windows.

Gater [Free]

Gater is a 16th-note (semi-quaver) gate sequencer or 'trance' gate. It features an easy to use GUI with a handy randomize feature to invent new gate patterns. Two click-free gate shapes are available. The Gater uses very little CPU power or screen space and is compatible with VST 2.4.

Wobbulator [$10]

Wobbulator is a stereo ring modulator with distortion, sample rate reduction and cross-modulation.

Independent left and right LFOs with 96 waveforms (including 8 random shapes, 32 'sequencer' patterns and an envelope follower) can be locked to tempo at 24 rates.

Controls are large and easy to adjust. Parameters have wide ranges, can be smoothly adjusted and 'intelligently' randomized. Most parameters have independent, easy-to-read displays.

VST 2.4 compliant; very low CPU requirements; 24-bit / 96KHz compatible. Full PDF manual.
