Steinberg announce The Waldorf Edition @ Musikmesse

Steinberg have announced the new Waldorf Edition, a plug-in collection for musicians seeking powerful and experimental virtual analog sounds, nothing new but a good value bundle.

The new Waldorf Edition is the perfect collection for the production of electronic music. It offers the following three independent modules:

Waldorf Attack, a "virtual analog" drum synthesizer, provides hundreds of electronic beats from the past 30 years of electronica and techno. Attack is actually the first software plug-in that was originally copied and produced as a hardware tool: Waldorf's Rack Attack drum synthesizer.

D-Pole is Waldorf's famous filter plug-in. The synthesizer specialists at Waldorf know exactly what is required of a filter. With its delay section, overdrive, LFO and sample rate reduction capability, D-Pole is a multitalented audio effect tool with the legendary Waldorf quality.

PPG Wave 2.V embodies a living synthesizer legend. It is the VST reincarnation of the famous wavetable instrument by synthesis pioneer Wolfgang Palm. With its powerful sound and intuitive handling, this unique software synth is ready to use on any VST system.

Steinberg's Waldorf Edition will be available from March for PC and Mac OS X/9 at a US retail price of $249.99.
