Steinberg "Groove Agent" is shipping from today! The new VSTi by the development team behind "Virtual Guitarist": Groove Agent, a drummer who plays live, dynamic drums at the press of a button.

Groove Agent, Steinberg's virtual drummer, can play almost all the most famous drum styles from decades of music history with a breathtaking energy and authenticity.

Groove Agent uses a sound library which was produced with enormous attention to detail. Groove Agent comes equipped with a variety of acoustic drum kits, percussion and electronic drums, and allows even experimental styles like for example combining 90s techno sounds with a 50s Bossa Nova groove. And he is so well trained that it is possible to produce drum tracks using only two controls. Now the creation of an evolving drum groove in real-time is possible.

Some of Groove Agents styles also include drum sounds recorded onto analog tape with vintage equipment for that genuine studio drum sound. Anyone who can't do without their own drum sounds but wants Groove Agent to play their "live" drums for them can simply record the MIDI output to a GM-compatible drum track and then use their drum sample player of choice such as LM4 MkII or Waldorf Attack.

Groove Agent supports VST, is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Mac OS 9, OS X, and is available for a retail price of EUR 249.00 (price subject to regional variations).
