Straight Ahead Samples has announced the release of its flagship library Straight Ahead! Jazz Drums. It costs $179.99.

SA!JD is drum sample library for Kontakt 5 featuring authentic and classic jazz drum sounds, as well as an innovative approach to accurately sampling jazz drum performances.

Each patch from the library is split into two main sections: a thoroughly sampled set of drum hits, and swingin' loops. For the loops, they have separately sampled ride/hi-hat loops and authentic snare comping patterns to create playable variations in swing grooves. They've also included fills and other speciality loops, like kick-feathering, for example, to allow the composer to create truly genuine jazz drums tracks to use in his/her compositions.
