Synapse Audio has announced a major upgrade to their EKS Electronic Kick Drum Synthesizer plug-in. The new EKS Pro is a complete overhaul of the former EKS-9 drum synthesizer plugin.

Featuring six models, the EKS Pro now covers both vintage analog kick drums, as well as kick drums for the next dance hit. Other than the four new models added to the EKS, it is now possible to precisely control the curvature of the pitch and amplitude envelopes.

Other improvements:

• Audio Unit and VST (Mac) now 64-bit too.
• Key Tracking can be turned off.
• Mono-Legato mode for pitched sounds.
• More precise envelope control.
• Frequencies now in Hertz (Hz) for unpitched sounds.

EKS-9 has been discontinued. For existing EKS-9 customers, an upgrade to the EKS Pro is available for $19. New customers can purchase EKS Pro for $39.
