The Unfinished has released Zebra Serenity, a new collection of sounds for u-he's Zebra2 and Zebra HZ synths.
Zebra Serenity comes in two formats: An original set of 128 sounds for Zebra2, and an extra expansion pack for Zebra HZ, called the Dark Edition. The Dark Edition takes the original 128 Serenity sounds and tweaks, modifies, and fine-tunes them for Zebra HZ. They are designed to take the original sounds into new sonic territory by adding extra analogue warmth, grit and darkness, utilizing Zebra HZ's analogue Diva filters and VCA compressors.
Serenity is designed for modern film scoring and atmospheric electronica, especially M83's "Oblivion," Daft Punk's "Tron: Legacy," and Harry Gregson-Williams' "Total Recall." There are also nods to the LoFi world of neo-classical, with ambient padscapes and dusty, slightly broken synths; inspired by artists such as "Johan Johansson," "Hammock" and "A Winged Victory for the Sullen."
The collection includes: basslines/sequences; punchy and roaring basses; lush and fragile pads; emotional and unsettling soundscapes; crisp and detuned leads; synthetic and physically modelled percussion loops.
Price: £29.99. Zebra HZ is required to use the bonus sounds. The regular Zebra Serenity is £19.99.
