Bitshift Audio today announced Time+Space as the international distributor (excluding US) of their VST instruments. Founded in 2001, Bitshift Audio is committed to building the coolest audio products on earth.

Art Gillespie, Bitshift Audio's founder and Director of Development said of the new alliance: "We're excited to be moving away from an internet-distribution model and we couldn't ask for a better partner to bring our next-generation products to the traditional retail channel."

The first product to be released is pHATfactory - a groundbreaking virtual instrument that turns any VST 2.0 compliant host into a sophisticated, next-generation loop workstation.
  • World's first synth loop virtual instrument - the inspiration of a sample CD, with all the flexibility of a synth.
  • Over 400 MB of fresh, original synth loops and phrases from the twisted mind of world-renowned sound designer Scot Solida... over 4,000 individual waveforms that you can reassemble, quantize, tune, stretch and mangle!
  • Wicked effects, analog-modeled filters and comprehensive modulation options... all the tools you need to carve your own musical identity from the included loops and sounds.
  • 16-part multi-timbral.
  • Built on the 32-bit pHATmatik PRO loop sampler/synthesis engine.
  • Loops and sounds stored in industry-standard pHATfiles... compatible with any pro audio application that supports WAV files.
  • Compatible with any VSTi or AU host environment.
  • Shipping November 2002
  • RRP £99.95
