Tone2 releases FireBird+ v1.5

Tone2 has released FireBird+ v1.5, a major update including oscillator and filter expansions.

New features:

• 26 new multi-Oscillators including 6656 waveforms: WV Pulse 25%, WV Pulse 12%, WV Comb 2, WV SawIO, WV Ohh, EL Squ Multi 2, EL Squ Flange, EL Alpha 3x, EL PWM Double, PD PeekSine, EL Flange 3, SO Ambie 3, SO Ambie 4, SO Electro 2, SO Beaum, BR Trumpet2, OR Ice EX, PE Drumpipe, VO Breakbeat, VO Melody, VO Sound is..., VO Maximum..., VO Virtual..., VO Sex Drugs..., VO Drumloop 3, VO Drumloop 4.
• 16 new filters: LP Analog2, LP Moog, LP Elliptic, HP Elliptic, HP Analog, BP Analog, BR Analog, EQ Peak 1, EQ Peak 2, EQ Block, Vocals2, VOC A, VOC U, VOC E, VOC I, VOC O.
• 3 new ARP rhythms.

Further improvements:

• Lower CPU usage.
• Reduced CPU spikes.
• Updated english handbook.
• Smoother sound on FAT4x.
• Less memory needed (4MB).
• Smaller dll file.
• Windows Vista registry compatibility: HKEY_CURRENT_USER is used instead of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.

Changes:

• MIDI CC 11 (expression pedal) changed to 115

Fixes:

• FireBird did not load if MSVCR71.dll was missing in Windows. This file is not longer necessary.
• Fixed a random crash which was caused by loopmode "???????".
• Cubase switched to bypass on heavy CPU load.
• Cantabile compatibility.
• Phrazor compatibility.
• Sonar and others: FireBird did not produce sound if interface was closed.
• Renoise and other hosts: Stop/Play in host caused a CPU spike and audio dropouts.
• The first patch "welcome" was clicking.
