Two Notes Audio Engineering has announced the release of new versions of Torpedo PI-FREE (v1.0.7) and Torpedo PI-101 (v1.0.6), both featuring AU and VST versions and now the highly anticipated RTAS version. Now ProTools users can benefit from the Torpedo algorithms inside their favorite DAW.
Torpedo PI-101 is a high end speaker miking simulator featuring the Torpedo technology that not only perfectly simulates a cab/microphone combination, including speaker distortion, but also allows you to virtually move the microphone in front of the speaker cabinet. On top of that, you have a tube power amp simulator and a "shaping FX" section including low cut, EQ, exciter and compressor. Torpedo PI-101 comes with more than 30 vintage and modern cabinets, and a choice of 8 studio standard microphones.
Torpedo PI-FREE is limited to one cab / one microphone. If you like the sound of a Marshall 4x12 cabinet miked with a SM57, this one is definitely for you.
