Ueberschall has released Urbanic, a 2.8 Gb (1280 Loops and Samples, 34 construction kits) sample library of cutting-edge Hip Hop and R&B sounds.

Urbanic includes a large variety of samples, basslines, leads, pads, fx sounds and drum sounds in 34 Construction Kits. The content is geared toward Black Music producers looking for authentic club sounds. Everything is programmed to conform to the musical genre. The construction kits are divided up into specific folders - one containing the main kit, a variation Kit with alternative sequences and phrases, as well as a kit with separate intro and an outro. On top of that a folder containing all the individual drum sounds, which makes it much more flexible to use and provides a very easy way of arranging a whole song including all the variations needed to make the perfect club track.

Responsible for the production of Urbanic are Michael Jackson, Dj Drastic and Marc Steinmeier - three highly respected Black Music producers in the industry. This team has produced and remixed for well known artists such as NAS, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Willie Joe and Eminem to name but a few.

The sound library comes with the Elastik Loop Player, which includes features like:

  • High-speed time-stretching and pitch-shifting in best quality.
  • Innovative "LoopEye" for fast loop variations.
  • All parameters MIDI controllable.
  • Multiple content management.
  • Each product separately installable.
  • Mapping tools (automatic slice- & chromatic-map).
  • Save audio of original and modified loops.
  • Creation of user presets.
  • Filter with "kill function" (-72db).
  • Adaptable to tempos from 10 to 480 BPM.
  • Audio engine for quick adaptation.
  • And many more...

Urbanic has an MSRP of $119 / €99 and is available for Windows and Mac OS X Universal Binary in VST, AU, RTAS and stand-alone formats via the included Elastik loop player.
