UVI has updated the F Grand 278 to version 2.0. This new release changes the name of the formerly "F Grand Piano" instrument into "F Grand 278", and makes the soundbank fully compatible with UVI Workstation 2. The instrument is available for $49 instead of $79 during an introductory discount until January 31st, 2012.

F Grand 278 is an instrument and library of samples recorded from a F278 Italian Concert Grand Piano model, manufactured by Fazioli.

This update includes:

• New script and skin.
• New presets and macro knobs.

This update is not just about figures (velocity, memory, number of mikes) but about feeling. This sampled piano completes the UVI's Grand Piano series.

UVI has chosen for the first time unique gear to record piano sounds: the microphone set-up was a matched pair of Neumann M150 and the preamp/converters from Nagra D2. During the sample editing, UVI consulted a professional instrumentalist to test the results.

The presets fit into a 7 GB high-quality soundbank. The sounds benefit from the UVI Engine's advanced keygroup layers and rule switching, which allow the sustain pedal and release samples to perform and feel like a real piano.
