WaveShaper has released two new vintage drum sample packs: KR55 Retro Electro Blast and Plasticid MkII.

KR-55 : Retro Electro Blast (Free / $3.90)
This 1979 preset drum machine offers a snappy snare, punchy bass drum, electronic hi-hats and exotic percussions with a retro flavour.

This sample pack offers 7 kits, from clean and transparent to punchy and saturated. You will also find some spring reverb and analogue delay infused samples for even more vintage flavor.

As always with WaveShaper, you can decide to use the free pack or buy the "pro" one :

• The pro pack gathers 142 one-shot samples, gathered into 7 kits. All samples are in WAV, 24-bit / 48khz stereo.
• The free pack contains 11 one-shot sounds taken from the "Boost" kit (with no variation and a couple of percussion samples missing) in 16-bit, 44.1kHz mono.

Plasticid MkII (Free / $3.40)
Plasticid MkII takes the previous Plasticid drumsample pack one step further, with 120 new samples gathered in 15 kits. This new version aims at coloration and expands the sonic palette of the DR-110, processing it using vintage hardware to shape it. Great care has been taken about recording a semi open hat sample for even more expression.

The "classic" kit is still available. Existing customers can upgrade to MkII version at no cost.
