XILS-lab has announced that the Limited Edition (LE) version of the matrix-based modular synthesizer XILS 3 has been updated to version 1.0.8 and is now 64-bit compatible.

This new version brings:

• x64 compatibility.
• No more arrow for preset selection.
• Mac OS X: preset folder changed (moved to user area).
• Better click on the matrix dots for Mac OS X.

Based on the architecture of the legendary EMS VCS3 synth, XILS 3 LE is capable of creating both 'classic' sounds and totally new ones. Its matrix design is capable of more than 450 connection permutations. In addition, a built-in sequencer, based on the EMS 256 sequencer, can be used to create original and complex sequences.

XILS 3 LE comes with hundreds of presets, made by famous sound designers, that provide instant access to a broad range of sounds and styles ranging from modern electronica to classic 1970s retro and experimental. Of course, you can also program it yourself to create your own unique sounds.

XILS 3 LE is a limited edition of the full XILS 3 synthesizer. It features the complete first version of this software but doesn't include the new modules added with the 1.1.0 version (two new envelopes, LFO, S&H, sequencer editing, new matrix connections, ...).

XILS 3 LE is serial number protected only (unlike its big brother with requires a dongle).
