Bronze Bin is a tuned and untuned percussion instrument built from a re-purposed metal waste bin. We recorded a variety of tuned and untuned percussion elements using fingers, mallets, and sticks, to bring out the full musicality of this improvised instrument. We then designed a whole host of custom ambiences, drones, pads, effects and other special presets to accompany it. The resulting instrument collection is both humble and expansive, well-suited for a broad range of production applications..

This little metal bin was mic'd at two distances to get the full range of subtle harmonics. The library also includes custom controls to dial in sounds, including attack, release, offset, dynamic crescendo swelling, re-tuning and more. Each articulation has been tuned to it's dominant frequency and chromatically spread out across the keys allowing this library to serve as both percussion and melody. Our custom Uberpeggiator tool is a powerful feature included in most Percussion and FX patches. It's an advanced arpeggiator allowing control over a huge range of common and unique parameters.

Our Tone / FX controls give you access to a number of effects to shape the sounds further, including EQ, Lo-Fi bit crusher, Flanger, Rotator, Pro-53 Filter, Delay with tempo-synch, Convolution Reverb and Stereo Modeller. The included Convolution Reverb effect features 74 select custom impulse responses recorded from some of our favorite locations. Among those are also fx impulses which are more special effect than reverb.
