4-Operator Frequency Modulation Sound.
4op is an Ableton sound library that provides 41 sample-based FM instruments.
All sounds are captured from a Yamaha TX81z synthesizer. This little 1-unit rack-mount module from 1987 uses 8 different waveforms on each of its 4 operators.
The 4op Live Pack is based on nearly 1000 samples and delivers a versatile collection of dry and punchy Basses, shiny Glasses and Bells, a variety of FM-like Keys, Pads and Strings plus some spooky retro-FX sounds.
Additionally the sonic range of each preset is extended by a 5th operator from Live's Sampler, a Filter, a Shaper and a whole lot more sound shaping possibilities.
