Egoist

Egoist is an amazing loop slicer / re-arranger, a beat and bass machine, and a per-step multi-effect that is so creative and unusual. Unfortunately, the GUI is not resizable or even scrollable, and for several users, myself included, the bottom part of the GUI can not be seen. I give it a ten for features and sound, and a two for usability, averaging out to a six. If this (known) issue is fixed in the future, I will note it here. Caveat Emptor.

Curious - if using this in Logic Pro X .. i can't figure out how to export or "record" what i've created in Egoist into my session. Is this because i'm testing out the Demo version?

The standalone version (launched outside of your DAW) features an audio recorder. Otherwise you should be able to use your DAW to record the audio from Egoist. It's a shame it doesn't have dedicated outputs for the slicer, bass synth and drum synth, and it also doesn't allow for manual slicing (as of this comment anyway, it was on the "to do" list for a long time). The interface sizing is a serious impediment though; many users report disappointment that the bottom of the plugin is just unusable as it can't be seen. Having addressed the bad points though, it's still a huge amount of fun to use and can yield excellent results quickly.
