The Forgotten Keys FK6 is a virtual Roland CompuRhythm CR-78 analogue drum machine from 1979. One of the first to feature programmability, this machine was used by many artists including Genesis (Duchess), Phil Collins (In the Air Tonight), Gary Numan (lots) and many others.
The FK6 features isolated multi-samples of each drum sound at seven accent levels and re-creations of all the internal rhythm patterns and intro/fill-ins, as well as the (enhanced) programmability of the original. Attention to detail means that both the short and slightly longer tambourine hits have been sampled, and the guiro sound is tempo synced like the original. The volume, panning and tuning of each sound can be adjusted, and the MIDI input routing can be customised.
