Gater-Pro by SPC Plugins is a stereo trance gate with swing, variable gate shapes and switchable rate. The gate width can be reduced to 0 % to cut the sound completely or increased to 100 % to cut the gating completely.
- Stereo gate patterns with 16 steps or "linked" gate patterns with 32 steps.
- Three adjustable gate shapes: Gate, Ramp and Trapezoid.
- Gate width variable from 0-100 %.
- Ramp variable from falling to rising.
- Trapezoid variable from 100 % gate to triangle.
- Swing -99 to +99 %. Greater control resolution near zero.
- Seven rates, including bypass (for cutting the effect in and out with one control): bypass, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64 and 1/128.
- Mix.
- MIDI controller learn.
- "Freewheel" - pattern continues if host sequencer stops.
- 64-bit audio processing.

Sendy Yep, subtractively's a word :) Great review, all reviews should discuss usage tips, there's not enough creativity out there.
murnau great plugin. the yellow/grey gui is somehow not my taste but the plugin itself is top! i use it to "duck" pads and fake sidechain. it's wonderful for many purposes as sqigls pointed out. dare to create your own presets - you wont regret it, i must say that i dont liked the delivered ones.
gsilbers great plugin but keeps crashing logic 64-bit. it loads but when i open the plugin in a channel strip it crashes logic. :(.
its the only plugin that does this. :(.
sqigls You should contact support, I have a feeling Logic is the last area of ironing for OS X.
Let them know how to reproduce the crash, at least touch base. They have ironed out my bugs previously, and sent me special pre-release versions to help the development of the plugin. Best of luck.
