Waves GEQ is a full-featured graphic equalizer plugin with both Classic and Modern mono and stereo components, featuring 30 ISO bands plus high and low pass filters, a high precision floating parametric EQ bell filter, and a real-time analyzer.
GEQ Classic components use traditional proportional Q filters inspired by the renowned DN series 1/3 octave equalizers, which narrow the filter width as you increase a band's gain; GEQ Modern components utilize special Flat-Top filters which eliminate the artifacts associated with band interaction, and provide perfect plateau and stair-stepped responses. Set band gains one-by-one, or draw your curve via touch-screen or mouse. Finally, GEQ's integrated real-time analyzer lets you compare the difference between two sources.
GEQ is Native and SoundGrid compatible, and included in Mercury, SoundGrid Pro and SoundGrid SD7 Pro bundles.
- 30 ISO bands with selectable 6, 12 & 18 dB scales.
- Independent HPF, LPF and parametric bells per side.
- Classic component with Proportional Q filters.
- Modern component with non-interactive Flat-Top filters.
- Real-time analyzer.
- Zero latency.

The GEQ is real chic and cool in a way. I don't know how to say it but it's clean'n'cool. The retro version has phase distortions like an analog while the modern version actually removes them. WOrth it just for that.
The GEQ model is made for Live shows but I use it for my home recording. Absolutely incredible. 30 bands of exactivityness make this piece unique to what is available and Waves is making cool moves here with LIve gear capable software.
This piece is and incredibly good value for the money. I just need to learn how to register the new changing EQ spectrum in the visual. The draw mode is OK to draw with but not outstandingly easy. There are 3 different EQ modes with boost and they are easy to locate. Supposedly this EQ is good for comparing spectrums but I haven't got that far on it yet, im not that focused yet. Although is isn't too hard to do, I kinda checked it out and got it to work once.
Thanks Waves! PEACE.Read more
