Grooove is a virtual drum machine that runs stand-alone as well as plugged in to any VST2, VST3 or AU compatible host application on Mac OS X and Windows. Natively with 32 and 64-bit.

The special thing about Grooove is the dualistic principle of its sound engine, which focuses on the relationship between sound parameters and velocity.

For each sound parameter two different 'velocity conditions' (Min and Max) can be defined. In other words, you set up two sound variations - one for the highest, one for the lowest velocity - and Grooove will render the sounds for all conditions in between automatically. In this way the velocity sensitivity of a sound can be determined effectively, precisely and intuitively at the same time.

Due to its unique Sound Engine, Grooove is particularly interesting for musicians who pay attention to velocity values when programming beats.

Features:

  • Unique 'dualistic' Sound Engine allows for setting two velocity-dependent variations per sound.
  • 46 kits, featuring more than 500 high-end and lofi samples, including original sounds from 30 vintage drum machines.
  • 128 Keys (Pads) capable of holding up to 2 samples each.
  • 11 velocity controlled sound parameters per Key, invertible through 'Flip' function.
  • 8 stereo audio outputs including mini mixer.
  • 8 LFOs (Low Frequency Oscillators).
  • MIDI processors: Compressor, Expander, Substract, Add, Range.
  • Stand-alone application has a basic MIDI file player built-in.
  • 'Clues Bar' shows available mouse and keyboard options.
  • Compact and effective GUI design.
  • License valid for installations on three computers.
  • True cross platform architecture & multiple host support.
  • Mac OS X 10.7 and Windows Vista or later.
  • Compatible with virtually all VST2, VST3 or AU hosts.
  • Supported audioformats: AIF, WAV.
  • mono/stereo, 8, 16, 20 and 24-bit, 32-bit floating point.

New in Groooove 1.2.0:

  • 5 different scale levels - 100, 125, 150, 175 and 200% - are available via the new scale button at the top right.
