It's about time somebody reviewed this little gem. After owning an original Mini Korg 700 for quite a few years (yes I was around when Korg released it) I was more than interested when I came across Krakli's K700. Without any hesitation I bought the thing.

At first glance, brilliant, it looks the same (nice chunky switches and sliders), but wait, it's polyphonic as well - even better.

OK, let's get stuck in and have a listen.

Hmm, no presets, never mind, this thing is so easy to use, just like the original. My God, it's all there. That beautiful filter with the sound that only ever came out of the Korg 700 Series, nice and full with growl and very sweet when fully opened, even the waveforms are spot on. This guy must love Mini Korg 700's because the job he has done is superb.

This is not a VSTi for those who want mind boggling soundscapes, but then, neither was the original. But for soulful leads, and soft round bases just add a dash of reverb and you are away. The original Mini Korg 700 was a firm favourite with the likes of Vangelis and the Human League etc. and I can honestly say that this VSTi is spot on.

Definately my most played Synth (I have a very large collection of VSTi's and original Analogue Synths).
