This electric guitar, virtual instrument was designed to be a true electric guitar. The goal was to create an easy to use rock & alternative guitar sound within a reasonable price.

  • Bending of single notes and chords with automation.
  • Pinch harmonic squeals.
  • Gain / distortion / fuzz control.
  • Palm mute algorithm with automation.
  • Hammer on / pull off.
  • Portamento / neck slide control with automation.
  • Strumming control with automation.
  • Unlimited velocity curve.
  • Full chokes (all strings mute).

Good sound! What kind of synthesis is it? Modeled synthesis? Other?

28 January 2014 at 11:09pmWindmiller

It is sample-based synthesis in the core, with a few samples and then these samples are modeled with different algorithms to shape the sound into all play types instead of many sets of different samples. This to keep the RAM usage down, so I would say it is a crossover. Regards, Morgan.

Ah Thank you, Windmiller. So with such a very low CPU usage it seems good for me as I plan to create several pieces having short cool duos (and even trios) of electric guitars in a cool melodic jazz/fusion style.

And all the articulations and functions listed above in the page are automatable from a composing tool? I use RapidComposer.

And one last question: do you know if there are plans to create a bass guitar and/or an acoustic guitar in the same way?

For all these questions you can answer just by yes or no if you want, it's just to have an little indication about the things I can project in a one or two year long future...

Jazz/fusion is perfect.

Yes the bending of single notes and chords, palm mute, portamento / neck slide speed and the strumming control can all be automatable with MIDI controllers params.

Yes, there are plans for both bass and acoustic guitar in the same way, don't know when they will be out though.

Cheers, Morgan.

Good info. Thank you, Morgan.

I've seen that there is a RSS feed to subscribe at the bottom of the page. Done (I hope that the RSS feed includes the updates of the blog post itself (not sure, else to alert the subscribers it should be good to add just a little comment each time an update of the post is done).
