Based on the structure and features of a single voice of Oberheim Matrix-6, (in the livery of OB-1) without the tracking generators and with different, more flexible oscillator waveform controls.
Clicking on the panel's 'Notes' button will display helpful info.
Also available in two alternate versions:
- Matrix-Six1p with oscillators similar to those in u-he's Podolski.
- Matrix-SixFM with a pair of two-op FM tone generators in place of the VCOs.
This does NOT emulate or model the actual sound of any Oberheim or any other vintage hardware synth, just borrows from the control design, layout and panel design of the Matrix-6/OB-1.
v1.2 - oscillators in Matrix-Six1p closer in function to those in u-he's Podolski. Various upgrades and bug fixes in Matrix-Six1 and '1p.
32-bit, so will require jBridge, etc., (or a DAW that will bridge) for use on 64-bit systems.
The link on the website is to a Sync.com folder that also contains the .osm Synthmaker source 'schematics', so anyone with SM, or it's successor Flowstone, can alter it to suit. It's hoped that anyone who makes significant improvements will share the result with everyone.
As this was originally built for my own use only, there are no presets included; I wanted to come at the instrument anew each time, as one did with vintage analog hardware.
