*Disclaimer: I'm a songwriter, producer, and educator. My writing style may read like a billboard ad, but my user review is sincere and authentic. I only appraise a product I consider extraordinary, hence the high rating. I don't work for the developer. In fact, I rarely work at all. :-) I hope you find my review useful. — Tommy Zai
MAutoDynamicEqualizer by MeldaProduction is painless way to adjust the bandwidths of audio tracks. A great mix is essential, and one of the most important aspects of a mix is the equalization. Sadly, this is where I'm usually lost. I often end up with a flat-sounding muddy mess because I'm afraid to cutback or add to the band frequencies. Using the auto EQ function is almost like having George Martin or Quincy Jones in the chair next to you making frequency suggestions. Well, not quite that good, but you do get an expert on-hand, ready to suggest a happier place for the bands (seven) to sit. Visualization increases the user's comprehension of the audio material and enables track comparison, making precise parameter adjustments simple. You can load source EQ settings from a list of the genre categories (alternative, blues, country, rock, hip hop, funk, etc.). These genres have many predefined sub presets of well-known artists/songs; for example, Funk has Herbie Hancock, Maceo Parker, and Red Hot Chili Pepper. Or, you can draw your own and/or load your own saved presets. I also suspect this plugin could be used to help bring consistency to a collection of tracks or songs by establishing baseline equalization for frequencies.
Clean, resizable interface.
Very visual (analyzer, sonogram, etc.).
Easy to use in automatic or manual mode.
Great sound quality.
No resonance residue.
Soft saturator feature on board.
Limiter to prevent audio spikes.
Responsive developer (prompt replies to inquiries and frequent updates).
Lifetime free updates.
Would benefit from additional EQ algorithms — I'm greedy.
MAutoDynamicEqualizer has quickly become an indispensable audio effects tool in my studio. It's easy to use, transparent, musical, and often magical. WARNING! Do not even think about deleting that plugin from my hard drive — I've watched many Kung Fu films! I highly recommend M.A.D.E. to anyone who mixes or sculpts sounds. It's a good value if purchased individually; it's an amazing value if purchased as part of a bundle. To quote another reviewer, "This EQ is a masterpiece." Tommy Zai gives MAutoDynamicEqualizer two automatic thumbs up. Thank you Melda for creating such a helpful plugin.
