In my opinion, Nuklear by Hamburg Audio is an exciting new VSTi that carves out it's own niché. To my ears it's certainly not analog, but in all fairness it's not trying to be analog. It is, however, a really tasty sounding digital synthesizer that reminds me of the wavetable stuff, i.e. Wavestation, PPG, and the underrated plugin called Kubik. I like the cool blue GUI. It's futuristic and easy to look at. Maybe the browser items could be a little bigger, but all-in-all I enjoy launching this thing. The step sequencer is helpful and the envelopes and oscillators are sweet. More presets. .. that's what we need. Hopefully 3rd party sound designers will jump on this explosive soft synth and help lazy bums like me have access to more great sounds! Unless you are doing all electronica stuff this might not be your "go to" synth for basic tracks; yet, it will be the plugin you launch for the fun stuff that makes your tracks stand out!
