So I thought I was just downloading another karplus strong based plucked-string synth. I don't know why I would need another one. They all make that same funky harp sound, right? But Pling wasn't what I was expecting at all. To begin with, Pling has about 60 controls. Three LFO's to route just about anywhere,portamento,user-tuned sympathetic resonance[called conduct],and best of all, 9 velocity controls. Playing through the handful of presets will show you the power of these velocity knobs.
For instance: In one patch,if you play softly- you get a nice, polite harp. Play harder and you get this beautifully ringy, sustained tone that makes your teeth hurt. and in a little portamento, and your instantly in uncharted waters. No docuentation needed, it just rocks steady.Very inspiring.xoxos is doing some great things, and deserves our attention. this synth is a thing of beauty.
