Engrossing and fluid to work with, stable and light. Podium meets the user between limitless possibility and 4-tracker. Closer to the former, once its paradigm is inhabited. Its sole developer progresses its utility in humble increments, and always with stability as a prime, closely followed by user feedback.

It has classic tools for writing linear arrangements in MIDI or audio, looks gorgeous, and adapts to myriad studio setups. Including surround sound! Spline-based automation deliver parameter changes with dance-like gestures.

Super DAW, one of the best I used. Very easy and fast studio reconfiguration, nice and very ergonomic user interface.

I'm liking Podium. Just discovered. Comparing to MuLab Free version. Podium hasn't crashed yet, but MuLab has several times. Some aspects of Podium seems sparse--like you can't tell if an icon is selected the usual way, by it's being lit up, and a few other issues. Podium has a great MIDI editor--great, at least, compared to Reaper's. If I had a choice of DAWs now, cheap ones, I go for Mixcraft 6--but that too crashed numerous times, losing my work. I report this having used Acid, Sonar Home, Podium, Orion, and Reaper with zero crashes.
