Don't judge a book by it's cover, because the Red Dragon synthesizer VST may look like a bit "amateur" when looking at his GUI but it's a very good instrument in it's own right. The included 384 presets really shows the possibilities & the synth is quite capable in creating a lot of diverse sounds. The Tim Conrardy presets are, for me, some of the best in the batch with his trademark space & galactic atmosphere. Kriminal also supply some tasty basses! There's some good FXs, basses, leads, ambient pads & textures included & I think it can suit a wide range of styles. Even if the interface seems a bit weird at first it is really easy to use & you can come up with good usable sounds very quickly. I think that's it main strength. I also like to browse the wide range of presets when looking for inspiration plus the fact that it's a synth with it's own oscillators makes the sounds more versatile than using samples one-shots. You can play on a wide range of notes/octaves & still have a good musical tone. Well worth the 10$ asking price!
