Resonance is a deep-sampled collection of glass, metal, stone and wood instruments played with mallets, fingers, hands, bows and other tools. Featuring numerous chromatic instruments, close-miced with a slight amount of room air, this Kontakt sample library is ideal for film, TV and game scoring. Our goal was to create an intimate sound as opposed to another "epic" library, that is nonetheless highly usable in a variety of styles.
There are 14 instruments or ensembles in total, ranging from a marimba with glass keys to unison metal instruments, a stone xylophone, meditative tuned pot lids, hollow metal resonators and more. These instruments comprise 33 "Natural" patches, which include multiple mallets, bowed techniques and organic 'special effects'.
Resonance also includes an extensive "Designed" section of 49 patches (more to be released as free updates.) These sounds are split into six categories: Impacts & FX, Keyboards & Mallets, Tonal Pads, Textures & Ambience, Percussion and Leads & Basses. All sounds in this category are built entirely from the natural recorded audio, processed extensively with a variety of tools. The patches include deep atmospheres, sub basses, cinematic hits, ethnic percussion, beautiful pads and everything in between.
