Toraverb is not a classic-type reverb unit like spring, room, hall or plate. It is a concept algorithm reverb. Using a set of easily accessible parameters, it allows the user to create practically ANY type of reverb.

Features:

  • High quality of diffusion algorithm.
  • Modulated tail.
  • Cross-talking spatial reflections.
  • Early and late reflections equalization.
  • Presets organised into groups.
  • MIDI learn function.
  • 64-bit internal processing.

I'm a big fan of this plugin. The sound is not trying to emulate any real-world space, so you are not going to find any sort of 'room' or 'hall' settings really. It has a unique sound that, to my ears is gorgeous. However, it IS a bit of a processor hog, so it's best to use the lower quality settings while working and save the highest quality for final bounces. The preset management system is a bit wonky, but if you tend to save presets with your DAW, then it won't make much of a difference. The processor use and preset systems are the reasons I gave it a 9 instead of a 10. The sound is a 10 to me.
