If the source material has not been recorded in a large space with excellent acoustics, it's hard and almost impossible to achieve and for music, that has been created using a number of different sample libraries - all recorded in totally different setups - matters get even more complicated. But there's no doubt, that a consistent and convincing room sound greatly enhances the depth and realism of every production.

When trying to position instruments in the sound field, there's a fundamental problem with the tools we commonly use (e.g. panning and reverb). They don't take into account one of the most basic acoustic principles: Every single point of a room sounds differently! And that's where VirtualSoundStage comes into play...

VSS replicates the unique sound of every point of the virtual scoring stage recorded with a Decca-Tree microphone setup. It's designed to adopt to virtually any kind of input material and is very easy and fast to use.
