COMPATIBILITY INFO FOR SONIVOX

Vocalizer is described as a completely new concept in modern music production that couples a new technology synthesis engine with an open input based architecture. Vocalizer is one part effect plug-in and one part virtual instrument. Vocalists, non-vocalists, & producers feed Vocalizer any audio source, and it re-pitches, effects, and re-synthesizes the original source into a whole new sound.

Primarily designed for vocal use, vocalists will enjoy the vast options afforded by Vocalizer to add previously unattainable dimensions to their voice. Inversely, non-vocalists will enjoy the opportunity to use their voices in musical ways that they previously thought impossible.

Vocalizer also works well with other types of inputs. Drum & percussion tracks fed through Vocalizer result in complex synth lines that perfectly sync to the original dry drum & percussion parts. Other input sounds afford a powerful and flexible new approach to sound design. Vocalizer users can take any sound and use it as a shaping tool to be Vocalized.

The Vocalizer marks the first release from SONiVOX's NEMESYNTH Audio Research Group. Spearheaded by noted audio guru and scientist Jim Van Buskirk, pioneer inventor of the virtual instrument, modern computer driven sampling, and real-time low-latency convolution, SONiVOX's NEMESYNTH Audio Research Group's sole purpose is to discover, research, & develop revolutionary new enabling technologies for musicians everywhere.

Version reviewed: 10.7 on Mac

Very interesting tool specialized on tonal vocal effect between vocoder and additive synthesis - suitable for experimental musical and cinematic apps. It is worth to try it - sounds communicates more then thousand words here ;)

For me it - as a "pro version" - gets 2 points minus from the full ten because it could have more features / for real pro users. The standard effect section could be swapped against a parameter dialing page / pool for the synthesis and vocoding process.

They shouldn't even be in business anymore. There is no support whatsoever from them and products that are very buggy.

Requests and inquiries, either through email or fb or messenger are completely 'ignored', and that is deliberately done so, which only infuriates users, never to go back to their business again. I am one of them now, after buying vocalizer pro which crashes Reason 10.4 when using the chord map functionality (loading maps or using the pads).

Their support apparently goes through something called 'plugivery' who is an external company for giving support on their products, but nowhere do they even mention anything about it. I had to hear it from a retail store !! This is a company that deliberately waves away all responsibility for their products and issues for users. Normal companies would take down their own support site and email in case of external support and INFORM their users of it. But not Sonivox, they still send out their hypocrite auto replies saying some technician will reply to you in 24-72hrs, and that it is important to them to answer our inquiries asap...yeah right. How hypocrite !

They left me waiting for nothing for two weeks almost, until I heard from the retail store about the external support via plugivery. They STILL haven't even replied to ANY of my inquiries through all forms of communication available. That is deliberate, and just plain sleazy.
It is deliberately fooling your own customers and having them wait in utter vain without any level of regard, and that just isn't very nice at all, and very unprofessional all together. It is a TINY effort to take down your support page if it isn't being used anymore. And SOME form of information should be made available PUBLICALLY that all support needs to go through 'plugivery' or what the heck it is called. But not Sonivox, they expect us to find out for ourselves, and if not than they just say 'tough luck' for the person that actually gave us money for our garbage products ! What a disgrace. The plugin is still unusable to me, and I DID PAY FOR IT !!!.

Good Day.

Unable to review because unable to obtain the software. Request trial version as first step toward implementing registration; they send a link to download at some random time after the request - BUT the link is good only for one hour AND they apparently limit sending one link per email address, used or not (although each time says incorrectly "we have just sent a link...".). I have gone through several emai addresses and am still unable to obtain any software, despite also writing to the company twice with no reply. I would advise doing business with this firm only if you live next door and can get the software directly on a thumb drive - if they even actually have a physical address.
