ABOUT
This percussion and sound design expansion pack offers 350 presets for Steinberg's Padshop and Padshop Pro VST granular synthesizers. With 278 manipulated stereo samples using various effects, this all-in-one sound set provides a perfect solution for sound designers and music producers.
Designed by composer and producer, Gary Gibbons, at the World Worm Studios recording facility in Hong Kong, this sound set demonstrates a different approach in creating drum and percussion tracks by using the Padshop audio engine.
Q: What did we sample?
A: We sampled windchimes, bells, one massive frame drum, ethnic hand drums, snare drums, kicks, toms and cymbals using sticks, brushes and mallets. As well as pots, pans, metal objects and wooden sticks.
Q: What can this expansion pack be used for?
A: You will be able to construct many drum kits that can be used for all styles of music as well as percussive compositions for soundtracks. With the traditional granular synthesis sound FX patches in this expansion pack, sound designers and experimental music producers will be able to create awesome soundscapes for genres like dubstep, drumstep, trip-hop, electronic, industrial and film scores.
