Wheel OF Fortune

What a sad occassion :-(.

And what a beautiful way to remind of one of the greatest devellopers out there who really had passed far to early....

His VST just kind of opened my way to electronic music and my mind to ambient stuff....

And Wheel of fortune maybe was the highlight of his work. I really wonder that no one followed his path till today really....

Really thanks for this, a beautiful rememberance in evryway, the sounds and instruments really give a glance and little inside of his work. And (as usual with your products :-)) a beautiful GUI.

For a VSTi dating from over 10 years ago, this still holds up wonderfully well; if you can run 32-bit plugins and have a hankering for evolving, spacey, mystical pads, Golden ASET is perfect, and still worth the $$. Both the GUI and presets show the difference in being both talented and caring about quality- I'd gladly spend money on Vera Kinter's work any time. A point off for being old and limited to 32-bit Windows. Ease of use, support, and documentation all match the level of sight and sound on offer, she is quick to respond and unfailingly helpful and polite.

ARTPyrite is not just a most fascinating software synth:- it is also a transporter that will waft you to ethereal interstellar realms through its dreamy flowing atmospheric soundscapes. There is no attempt to be an emulation synthesizer, presenting versions of the classical instruments known to us for centuries, but rather like Omnisphere, this is a synthesist's synthesizer, a VST that highlights the sonic landscapes that only synthesizers can produce.

The program offers an extensive array of sounds, with 10 soundsets, most of which have the full 128 creations. Within this generous offering you will find a diversity ranging through fluid cinematic pads and textures to gutsy pulsing impacts and rhythms, all easily editable from an extensive diversity of sound-samples, and an accessible and user-friendly interface. The artwork of the gui is also commendable, with the graphics showing another dimension to the incredible skills of the sound-designer, Vera Kinter, who some may know from their experience with the much-missed Alchemy.

Another feature which makes ARTPyrite so highly commendable is the superb and readily-offered care generously given to her customers. A sign of this is the free demo version that has been made available. In all ARTPyrite is a quite unique gift to us.

Being a computer based musician I have accumulated lots of VST instruments. It's easy to collect them when there are so many available at the click of a button. I use some for general purpose sounds and others get my attention because of certain categories of sounds that stand out to me. But creatively I'm always on the
lookout for that one VST instrument that inspires me to create and is instrumental (pun intended) in defining my sound. Art Pyrite is that instrument for me. It comes with an expansive library of sounds and presets that are suitable for any genre of music. The layout of the interface is straightforward and efficient but also very stylishly beautiful, creating an environment of inspiration to experiment and craft your own unique sound easily. This characteristic of Pyrite makes the library feel so much larger and more diverse. Pyrite excels at creating ambient soundscapes from fragile and subtle to breathing and pulsating with motion elements that keep the music evolving. The factory presets included are creative, artistic expressions that provide endless fuel for the imagination. It is obvious from the moment you start auditioning the presets that such meticulous and genuine care and ingenuity went into the making of this VST. And if you should have any inquiries, contacting Artvera will be an equally rewarding experience. Given the fact that the demo offers a very good representation of the variety of content in Pyrite and also that it doesn't ever expire, I'd highly recommend downloading it and giving it a try. It would definitely be well worth your time.

Thank you Artvera!.

I've owned ART Pyrite-K for just over a month now & have given it a pretty thorough workout & I must say that I am very happy with this kontakt instrument. It's full to the brim with hundreds of very usable presets which sound absolutely stunning. I won't go on about the myriad of ways you can further sculpt your sounds (just have a look at the 'main features' mentioned in the instrument description). You can lose yourself for hours just listening to & tweeking the fantastic presets. And on top of all that, you can get even more inventive with the 3 randomise buttons (1 to randomise the waveforms & another 2 buttons in the sequencer section to randomise the volume & tune). There is also an in depth, easy to understand manual provided. If you like creating rich, beautifully melodic soundscapes (like I do) then this is a must buy. Highly recommended.

I was looking for an alternative to Spectrasonic's Atmosphere that has been discontinued when somebody mentioned Pyrite.

Since I'd never heard of this synth or seen it mentioned anywhere I was pretty skeptical about it - at first.

But after I've been testing the free version of Pyrite I'm convinced that this is one of the greatest sounding atmosphere/soundscape/pad synth I've ever heard.

Although the free version is restricted to only 32 presets (the full version comes with 1.000 ! And there are even more to grab on their website.) they are all mind blowing.

Bworsing and loadign presets is easy. They are nicely ordered in categories.

Unfortunately I've not been able to test it with sf2 files. It's possible to load those in the full version.

The GUI is really cool looking too. Obviously the developer of the synth is a good graphical designer as well.

I would warmly recommend this synth to anyone looking for great sounding atmosphere, soundscapes, pads sounds of hight quality.

Over the years there have been lots of VST plugins out there and I have basically bought most of them. I possess a vast array of virtual instruments and even the most expensive hardware that I was able to acquire by working hard and trying to save as much as I could. Nothing satisfied me more than the two products I bought from Artvera, Aset and Pyrite. The latter is a gem, what we call in American English a real humdinger, top-of-the line, cream of the crop. This is how much this product impressed me and without any further ado let me give you the straight dope.

INTERFACE AND EASE OF USE : I have never seen such a wonderful interface before, meaning that what you see when you open this Pyrite VST is pure beauty and a feast on your eyes. The colors, the contrast distill imagination and inspiration. You get a plethora of buttons, windows and what not to make your interactive experience with this product the best there is out there. Artvera is not only a great company, it is also an expert on visual art. On a scale from 0 to 10 I am giving Pyrite a firm 10 on interface.

THE SOUNDS : Well, there are no words in English or any other language which could describe the magnificent, unbelievable sounds Pyrite can produce. You get a gigantic library which gives you the most impressive array of sounds and combinations. The sounds are ethereal, evolving, next generation style, they will stir every corner of your soul with their sonic power. The most amazing thing is how Artvera put all these sounds together without sacrificing ease of use. I have been up all night exploring all the powers of Pyrite and even when I sleep I still hear the multidimensional sounds it is capable of. Oh yeah, the wow factor is there and more than that, a magic factor that will satisfy even the most demanding Hollywood producers.

VALUE FOR MY MONEY: You will not find anything out there that compares to this VST for the money. With just $ 60 you get the very best product of the year. I have spent thousands of dollars on very good products, including hardware but nothing has made me tick as much as Pyrite. A firm 10 on this one.

CUSTOMER SERVICE : Artvera is a company that devotes to customer satisfaction without asking steep prices for its products. They always answered my questions and even explained patiently all the features of their products. A 10 is well deserved.

FINAL THOUGHTS: To all non-believers out there and all fellow musicians, Pyrite is the best Christmas gift any of you could get. Do not miss on this one, you will have the music power you have been looking for all these years. Yeah, Pyrite, that is the name of your dream vst.
