DROP_OUT was born from a simple idea: too many plugins chase pristine, clinical sound. We wanted tools that embrace imperfection. Sounds that create saturation, distort the signal path and that make music feel alive.

DROP_OUT brings the unique view of adding the sonic character of experimental hardware into the digital domain. Broken toys, weird experimental rack modules and any type of distortion are our inspiration. Every algorithm we write is designed to capture that analog unpredictability in a modern, CPU-friendly package.

Our Philisophy

Our philosophy is straightforward: build tools that sound incredible out of the box, with enough depth for sound designers to get lost in. No bloat. No filler parameters. Often purposely limited, without synced timing for instance, to encourage happy accidents. We just add the controls that matter.

As a company we aim for smooth user experience, which translates to an easy and transparent licensing process. This also means the use of trials and high quality support. Making music should be fun and we want to get you up and running with new toys, as fast and seamless as possible.
