1. A user manual, lack of one is why I'm still struggling on how to put things together.
Scott Solida uses this synth a lot to illustrate synth programming in CM magazine - The only reason I've been tempted to subscribe. It'd be great if Scott could feature those tutorials on a webpage Though CM most likely owns that content
2. v1.0 release (currently beta), so the guy can start charging for the thing and hopefully get his due - this is a wonderful synth. This might also produce a User Manual.
3. A preset bank that contains a collection of all the basic synth structures/architectures.

I would like all of the above, plus:
I'd like a more fully fleshed-out sampler module. I am currently in communications with Kasper about this..... but I'm graduating, and have been busy with finals, so I haven't responded to his latest post... Kasper, if you're reading this, I'm sorry and I will get to you as soon as possible.

@1-2-Many: Hey, you say that you are from SLC. Is it the SLC that I'm thinking of?

Oscillator and filter sound improvements. Otherwise it's fantastic.

Thanks for the kind words about the tutorials...unfortunately, as you say, I wouldn't be able to publish those on a site without an okay from Comptuer Music...however, they often put content from the magazine on their own site. I will have a word with Ronan about maybe running some of my columns up there.
I can maybe help with the third request, though I am a little bogged down this week with work. What specifically were you looking for when you say "all the basic synth structures"?

I'd really like to see more modules that mimic those of real analog modulars; logic gates, comparators, etc.
So far, KarmaFX is the one of the only modular environments I've come across that is really similar to a true modular synth (other than the Moog emulation). The only better one I've seen is ModularII/Flexor on the Creamware cards.

A version that doesn't expire...

I have so many songs where I open the project, go to edit a karma preset and it tells me the version has expired and then instantly switches to a default preset....I don't understand why karmafx insists upon an expiration...maybe to encourage dl of the newest beta...I would do that anyway because of the new features consistently being added..if it weren't for the expiration that is...

KarmaFX F.A.Q wrote:11) Can I get a version that doesn't time out ?
Sorry, No. Or, that is, not until version 1.0 is ready. Since KarmaFX Synth is still beta software is has a safety feature that makes it time out on a specific date. This is to ensure that users always run the latest (least buggy) version of the software. From version 1.0 this time out will be removed and replaced with an optional online auto-update feature.

Yeah, but the thing is, things that I try out and experiment with sometimes end up making it to final versions...if karmafx would simply send me an email(don't have to actually, I got it marked in kvr)when a new version is out, that would be enough to ensure me to always run the latest beta..
As it stands, I have stopped using karmafx synth due to reasons above...he'll get no beta testing out of me until I know my work won't expire a few months down the line.
My only complain really for this great freebie...

I don't see what the big deal is, you install the new version and everything works fine. This isn't uncommon practise for beta software.

yes, and give no expiration.1-2-Many wrote:2. v1.0 release (currently beta), so the guy can start charging for the thing and hopefully get his due - this is a wonderful synth. This might also produce a User Manual.
yes, yes, YES !1-2-Many wrote:3. A preset bank that contains a collection of all the basic synth structures/architectures.
Like a... MS-20... ? A good way to get into "my first semi-modular experience"
+ some drumsamplers modules/architecture.; I mean "ready-to-go-and pimp/customize/improve" drumsaplers, with fancy features to add and lo-cpu. We never have enough drumsamplers !
