[quote="CymaticCreation"]Another Podium user, great.
Yeah. Grew up using Cubase but when they changed the shortcut keys and raised the price to astronomical level I decided to go in a completely different direction.
I am currently switching between EnergyXT and Podium while waiting for someone to make a DAW that will combine the best of both.

Although it may not be "the best of both" you should try Reaper, it's quite good once you get familiar with it. Definitely not as much geared toward MIDI sequencing, but good enough to make nice tracks with (at least, I think).gylstorff wrote:CymaticCreation wrote:Another Podium user, great.

The only really serious shortcoming of podium is the lack of support for midi plugins. Otherwise I am quite happy with it.z.prime wrote:gylstorff wrote:Although it may not be "the best of both" you should try Reaper, it's quite good once you get familiar with it. Something's really messed up with the quotes
Anyways, MIDI plugins would be really cool, but this way one can concentrate on and improve the sense of melody , harmony etc.

Ok, just a small update today. Clicking resulting of low polyphony and thus notes getting killed off prematurely is fixed.

I can confirm that. I have not yet found out what the cause of that is though. Still looking...H-man wrote: One other thing I have found is that using the mouse to fine-tune the circular dials can get a little hoopy Changing values up and down eventually causes a lock up (of the dial value) where subsequent mouse wheel movements no longer change the value.
No a huge deal but has anyone noticed this?
EDIT: found him! fixed him!

Sure, it was this one:payne_bc wrote:Remind me what this is about please. I seem to have missed it.H-man wrote: @Payne_BC, sorry to report but the SUSTAIN issue (where the sound can drop out) is back again.
1. Map ADSR1 to Noise (or volume)
2. UP the mod value a little
3. Make some quick changes to the sustain on ADSR1
4. Sound drops out, instrument seems to hang.
Off to test Beta10

A quick question regarding the noise generator.
The signal flow behaviour of it seems to be if the spline osc. volume is zero then output noise (with matrix mods.) at full whack else mix it with the spline osc. or at least use it's volume is this intentional?
