Some unwanted 'extras' (4) included in adventure kid.
They're simply wav files that some of the presets use to make their sounds.
You do know that this is primarily a sample based instrument, right?
Not all were wav unfortunately.
Two were of the 'PUP' variant.
Found using Malwarebytes only.
Didn't show under MSE/Defender.
Which 2 ? There are .txt files in the AKW folders..........

Scanned the AKW zip file with Virus Total............ 0/47

Do you remember the names of the files so I can see if they're on my system as well?

Oh, great tool this VirusTotal.com site, thanks!

Post

Not virus, Trojan.
As I said, two were of the PUP variant.
Only in the adventure kid, not in the Wusik beta.

Post

That makes no sense.

There are no viruses or trojans in that folder, no matter what [whatever tool you are using] tells you.

And yet, there they were in that folder and reported only by that tool.
So I inform here, but won't continue in debate about it.
Use as you will.

Post

I have that folder installed. Can you tell me the names of the supposedly infected files?

Post

Anywho... I'm working on the legay preset importing right now. :hyper:

And yet, you still haven't given any filenames of those trojans.

If you inform us about a trojan, least you could do is to tell us the filename(s).

Not sure of the exact name now and won't open again just to find out.
But it was something like two key strings under AKWF-WT which linked directly to two PUP variant files . Out of the three 'tools' I use to scan for these, only the malwarebytes discovered them.

And again, the Wusik beta did not show any.

Quote from the Virus Total site:

"VirusTotal will scan, and detect, if appropriate, any type of binary content, be it a Windows executable, Android APKs, PDFs, images, javascript code, etc. Most of the antivirus companies involved in VirusTotal will have solutions for multiple platform, hence they usually produce detection signatures for any kind of malicious content."

Trojans are Malware. Most Anti Virus program scan for all forms of Malware including Trojans. In this case both the AKW and WS8 folders passes all the scans including Malwarebytes.

If there is Malware in the content I want to know but so far my tests have revealed nothing. So I have to conclude it's either a false positive or let's be brutally honest here just another attack by you on Wusik.........

If it hadn't revealed the PUP, I would conclude it was a false positive also.

I don't see any AKWF-WT. I've scanned the main folder several times. Nothing.

I have checked out my files as well. Just .wav files and .txt files. Nothing nasty.....
