This looks interesting. Sort of made me think of the EMS speech synthesiser - just because PPG is another sort of pioneering and unique company.

rather hoping that 119 euro is the permanent price rather than an introductory price

Since PPG like U-HE doesn't make sale, the price is very possible the one which they sell forever them
WaveGenerator and WaveMapper 2 don't change the price since release just one time when they offer an bundle of 2 plugins for the release of WaveMapper 2 for 150 (2 x 75 Euro)

I don't need it, having more tracks with human singers in the works than time to finish them, but I just find this kind of stuff fascinating for no practical reason.

I vaguely remember seeing a video of this, about a year and a half ago, maybe more.
It was a sort of proof of concept, early development type deal, based on the concepts discussed in the promo material. If it's the same thing, I saw earlier, then it's going to be good.

ah yes, it was the bundle I was thinking of. Thanks for reminding me. And yes, I did get both.

PPG Phonem (Advanced Vocal Synthesizer) official released
