Cyclops sound cool. How small is the GUI?

Depends on the screen, but compared to some other synth:

It's about the same size as SynthMaster (minus the right side menu), and a little bit smaller than Massive (it is not so tall)

Many synths have built-in distortion units, but I have noticed two things I don't like about them: 1) often they are cyclic, i.e. the distortion comes and goes in waves, and 2) distortion becomes very unmusical when playing chords.

Cyclop is nuts ... the GUI is not small (similar to most modern synths like Synthmaster, Nemesis ... ).

Okay, I got a lot of synths that are great and fun to program but it is rare that a synth just makes me smile from ear to ear if for no other reason than its fun factor. Well, this thing is got pure have a freaking blast just playing with it written all over it and I have no idea how I haven't run into this thing before.

My tinnitus sound better then your Cyclop. :)
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Another big plus with Cyclops is that it is so kind to the CPU

Here is a quick mashup of a Sylenth1 factory preset (BS Phastralix) vs. CamelCrusher (Destroyer), fading the effect in and out and automating distortion and filter cutoff of CamelCrusher:

Dirty, dark and grindy in my opinion :phones:

Yes.

no different than a piece of sh$# free synth piped through a good distortion/multi-effect vst, i'd say.

I heard Cyclop and it's very well suited for noises.
Rob Papen RAW as well, and several modular synths too.

Kairatune isn't dark (quite the contrary), but it can produce some really weird sounds.
