Bulent, the problem with the wavetables that do not work in Synthmaster 2.9. Can it be that SM 2.9 has problem with the number of wavetables? I have now uninstalled SM 2.9, deleted all entries and reinstalled SM 2.9. After that my wavetables are imported but only 20 of them. Everything works without problems. But if there are more (over 600) are the known problems.

256 is the upper limit on number of waveforms in a wavetable.PietW. wrote:Bulent, the problem with the wavetables that do not work in Synthmaster 2.9. There's no limit on that, but the number of subfolders were limited to 1024.AJYoung wrote:I think he's talking about the number of Wavetables (.wav files) in a directory, not how many single-cycles are in a single Wavetable.

I just discovered that on Windows, the number of menu items was limited to 65535 (VSTGUI code). When you throw in 85000 waveforms into SM1/2 you achieve that quickly (there are 27k files, but the waveforms inside wavetables count as well)AJYoung wrote:I think he's talking about the number of Wavetables (.wav files) in a directory, not how many single-cycles are in a single Wavetable.

Quite Frankly I don't think we are at RC status.
Satya skin is badly in need of repair.
The pre 2.7 (or is it 2.5) presets issue still hasn't been fixed.
an to top it all.

2.8 is still great, best not to rush into 2.9
Sure, there are plenty of hot new plugins,
but I would prefer having a party two or three weeks from now,
over reading bug reports next week
Cheers

This is the way it always happens guys. It will get worked out eventually as people let him know of problems. The more people report problems the faster it will get worked out and you will get a more stabile release in the end. Mr. B Just does things differently.

Aside from joke, I know about QA, CMMI, test cases, test plans etc. and I have my own quality standards and ways of assuring that the release I am pushing out is "stable enough"
