Does this mean you don't see it in your list of VSTs?

Edit: What is your version of Mac OS?
I do see it, but it doesn't open no matter what =/

I am on Mavericks. This vst is so amazing, I can wait to solve this problem up so I can buy it =)

Check to see if a log is created next to the .vst or .component file after you try to run it.

Send me that log.

love the sound and would love to see this thread full of pages of recognition for what you have done - this is new, this is brilliant synthesis.. timbre, parameterisation - to the entire world, for free. kvr should be carrying you on its shoulders with front page headlines for injecting real fresh vitality into the body of the field.
High praise indeed...even if in the wrong thread!

What's the best way to get video output from this? Screen capture software?

Post

yes, best bet is https://obsproject.com/ or https://getsharex.com/

sharex is less hard on the GPU because of how it can record portions of your screen, OBS seems to take more resources for the same job. This is not an issue with a modern videocard. Use OBS if you have a modern videocard.

A modern videocard (nVidia GTX 1050 and up or AMD RX460 and up) which has built in screen capture codecs helps a lot.

Or wait until I figure out how to make a video rendering function for PrettyScope.

On a Mac, fortunately :p There are lots of options, I used to have Screenflow, it works pretty great, but I haven't updated it.

Timetable?

Also, any plans to pull some of the LFOs from Spiral Generator over?

It's a feature I want to implement, but lack of $$$ is preventing it. When my business grows, I will have more resources for it. I need to release the kicka** commercial synths I have in mind.

I'd be surprised if PrettyScope didn't have a hue LFO in a few months... a few months... that's a chunk of time, but that's as much as I can promise at the moment.

Post

PrettyScope responds to sound in Studio One but parameter automation does not work. Parameters show up in the list but no reaction in PrettyScope on playback.
What am I doing wrong?

Post

ukm, you're not doing anything wrong. I'll have to investigate the problem. Try another audio plugin host if you can.

Post

Thanks for quick reply; it seems to be an interesting tool though.

My old Signal Analyzer wont work in my host now,has anyone got a clean oscilloscope preset for PrettyScope.Couldn't find one flicking through the presets

Post

I think the LenFactor and TailFade sliders are broken in the latest version, otherwise I would be able to give you a clean mode preset... also I need to have some better options for clean modes, but I'm trying to release Mushroom Generator so PrettyScope development is not active at the moment.

In the meat time, you can download the new Signal Analyzer: ....okay I can't find the download link, give me a day or two.

PMed you a link, it's not publicly available, otherwise I'd post the link here. It should be publicly available by the end of the year though.

Following up on this, after researching it probably the best thing you could do is integrate Syphon/Spout support, which is essentially just a video out API that people can attach their own Video DJ software to, or specifically, Syphon recorder.

So, does that allow perfect frame captures? I would include a simple rendering function in PrettyScope but the issue right now is that frames cannot be perfectly sequenced/rendered one after the next in an "offline" mode... still need to figure that out... But in realtime, the framerate is stable enough for screen capture.

Post

Bugs I had,
Couldn't adjust the framerate limiter, stuck at inf
Almost all of the presets don't work.. just an empty scope.
