It was my understanding if you buy a copy of Computer Music Magazine (any issue) you gained access to the CM software. (All of it released until now).
Several people stated this on this forum.
I also bought the hard copy of Computer Music Magazine 218 and on the DVD, I have in fact access to all software that was released until then.
I bought a digital copy of CM 252 on the Zinio site. When I wanted to access the Vault (or FileSilo as it is called now) it seems i can only access the software from that issue??
Zinio computer music magazine -> access to all CM software ?

Yes, you can only access the software from the issue you bought digitally. I guess you misunderstood, and what was really meant is that the CM Studio plugins contain all of the stuff which has been added in prior issues to the Studio plugins. You will not have access to special software offers, like Z3TA+, which was given away with a CM issue in 2011. Only the stuff which is available in the DVD content of the respective issue you bought.

The vault has the same stuff that would be on the DVD. So all the CM software that would be on the DVD.
If there is something specific you want, you can usually go back and buy that issue. BUT some of the specials may no longer be available. Most are, but a few were only available for a limited period. I know I missed a few when I got busy and forgot to download some of the software in time.

They also rationalised the CM Studio a few years back - so quite a bit of stuff that was once in there isn't any more.
From memory (never fantastically reliable!) I think the decision was based around a desire to only carry software available for Mac & PC, so a few old favourites, like Dominator, were dropped.

Frankly, i don't miss any of the "old" plugins though. Maybe CM Vocoder (it's very old though, not even in the list of the CM184 plugins), which never was released as 64-bit, but, i have IL Vocodex anyway, so.
There are some real gems in the CM Studio plugins, well worth checking out.

That cleared things up nicely. I was for example interested in Stix CM, but when I clicked it in the "Highest rated" list, the website redirected me to a specific issue, asking to unlock the content. And for that, I needed to buy the issue.
Their navigation could certainly be improved
