@PeterH - still a nice track - good luck! Have left you a couple of comments. I might give this one a go one day - depends what genre the competition will be doing at any point in time

Hello everyone!
My second contribution for this contest. This theme is inspired by oldschool sci-fi horror movies. Well, it sounds strange and wierd, as this synth is just screaming at your face to make wierd sounds, but I also managed to make it sound musical. This synth also seems to be good at emulating sounds of bass guitars, woodwinds (brass) and strings, but it struggles when it comes to classic synth sounds. And ofcourse making drum sounds was quite challenging. I've managed to make sounds of kick drum, snare and some kind of toms, and it sounds like someone striking at random velocity, while parameters in sequencer remains constant. But the sound effects design was a real joy. Some of my effects is a slightly tweaked factory patches, played very low or very high notes and they already sounds wierd. Imagine what you can do with all those formants, ringmods, modulations. But I must admit, it lacks internal effects (even very basic reverb and delay woud be nice).
Besides some technical issues and weaknesses of this synth, I have enjoyed working with it.
Please, leave a feedback about my second mix. Maybe the drums are too loud and overcompressed. Maybe there is so much "reverb abuse". Or maybe the mix itself is too quiet...
And please correct me, what's the genre it is?

Hello,
here is my entry for this month.
I tried to constuct something in a odd measure: 5/4 alternating with a 7/4
But some instruments are playing in a traditional beat and this creates rhythmic shiftings - hoping it doesn't lose the groove.
The Scrooo is an unusual synth and I think it isn't easy to develop sounds in a common way. So the results of "Screwing the Scrooo" are surprising sometimes.
Thanks to Björn and his creativity

Scratch that, I'll have something Having some issues with drums, but I don't care. This synth is great at textures.

Awesome horror vibes and percussion, it sounds to be sitting about right to me. You might be right about overcompressed drum transients but only by a touch.VCA-089 wrote:My second contribution for this contest.

This is a little crazy. Basically I did this entire track the first night and the last night. I was swamped this entire month. That said, I'm happy with how it turned out.

Cocoa Delay

Acon Multiply - negligible, probably could've removed it or just used osc 2, but running low on time. The patch that sounds chorused is not the one that used it, that's just two oscs.
