Cool man. I'd actually prefer a tutorial. I don't buy sound sets. I'll get there eventually, but I'm screaming for more Cypher2 tuts/vids.
I hear ya.
There is a bunch of new Cypher2 vides on YouTube. Have you seen those yet?
Here's one:

I've been planning to do a video tutorial for Cypher2 (and Equator) for some time now. But I'm a bit shy....

But I'd like to do a video to show how quickly a complex sound can be done in Cypher2 beating any synth with a Mod Matrix.

Yep, jumped on those within minutes of release. Your sound design speaks for itself, so I don't care if you talk like a Welsh Kardashian on speed. Do videos! (I actually prefer old skool text and pics)

Here's another example of a musical use of Filter FM in Cypher2. The previous example didn't show the characteristic formants that Filter FM can produce, so this sound shows that in turn. Here, pressure is controlling the oscillator waveforms, which creates this formant sweep, reminiscent of shamanic bi-phonic singing from Tuva ( or a frequency crushed didgeridoo). Then at 0:28sec you can hear the SLIDE dimension and how it controls a multitude of parameters, but the main ones are osc3 pitch and filter FM which is at the centre of this sound.

At 1min 28sec you can hear the LIFT dimension and how it pulls down the pitch of oscillator 3 which is the source of FM for the two filters:

This patch is complex in its outcome but very easy to set up in Cypher2. Maybe this could go in a video tut....

That's great, since if I can just add text to the video without me having to talk, then it might be easier for my inner hermit to get through it. :D

YES a deep tutorial could be very useful. I only scratched the surface of this synth.

OT - a little
@himalaya
I use Screenflow
Which is Mac only...
I really don't want to hear my own voice either
Only issue is getting the right/enough information across in text with personality
People seem to prefer voiceover...

I was actually going to write to Roli, some time back, to request that they team up with MacProVideo or Groove3 to release an in-depth Equator tutorial. Guess the idea just slipped away. I might still contact them, but I'd love to see some 'patch-from-scratch™' tutorials from someone as capable as yourself :tu:

I just tried the demo version of this, and I noticed when I switched from the Edit view to Easy view, and then back to "Edit" again, the keyboard display at the bottom-left wouldn't change for presets if they had the MPE capability. It would just stick on the regular/standard keyboard no matter which preset I selected.

I am using Windows 8.1 64-bit. I know the requirement is Windows 10, but I read somewhere it may work with previous versions of Windows, but it's not guaranteed. :?

EDIT: Weird... I just loaded it up and tried again, and now it is working ok. Maybe it's a Windows 8.1 glitch?

@himalaya I didn't spend three years on this damn synth only for you to make it sound like this guy...

:hihi:

Yeah, I was thinking “shall I make Cypher sound like Delay Lama or one-ping-only”
:D :hihi:

(BTW, what a blast from the past with that plugin! )

@himalaya: I too would be very interested in tutorials from you, especially on the parts of Cypher 2 that you think earn more attention or are somehow "hidden in plain sight" and not so obvious to new users maybe.
The sounds you just showed made me aware of there being much more to Cypher than I would have guessed from the (for me) rather uninviting GUI.
I watched the existing tutorials and am now going through the docs, but a perspective like yours would be very welcome!

Cheers and thanks!

Thanks! I'm afraid their Parisi-identification needs some re-calibration, though - that's not Marco's hands, it's our product demonstrator Heen.
