Understandable, among all the flailing anime it can be hard to tell who's a voicebank and who's a real person haha

Back on topic, it appears there is a a small update

I have updated the download links. The anti-virus false alarm won't go off again. Also fixed the "data corruption" error when the path contains non-ASCII characters.
These are Windows-only issues. Linux users do not have to update.

I did some tests in Synthesizer V, it sounds nice and it's really easy to use. Just a cover example of "Manic Monday" (The Bangles 1986):

I like the way she sounds. So how do you integrate the vocal with the instrumental track since this isn't a VST?

You did a beautiful job on this track Jaleo, and Synth-V sounds very nice, for what it is! Unfortunately, "her" squeaky, little girl voice is not my cup-o-tea at all, but it's good to see/hear the advancement of the concept continue!.

¡Impresionante!

This is really close to getting there. However, there are still places where the phrasing gets tripped up by the diction, especially with regard to syllables.

I wonder if this might be improved by taking liberties with the spelling, phonetics etc.

An example: Does it help to change "...wish your bed was already made", to, "...wishor bed was already made"
How about changing "Italian" to "Ital-yan"?

Just curious :tu:

I think the problem is that bedroom producers far outnumber good singers so we are left with using something like Vocaloid or this Synthesizer V.

The Human Voice when Singing is one of the hardest instruments to master. Everyone can sing but few of us can sing well enough to carry a track.

I've known really good singers but they are so busy that they wouldn't have time to work on my rubbish and I couldn't afford to hire one long enough to do me any good at least not now....I'm waiting to hit the Lottery.

So my solution has been to stick with instrumentals. Long live Buckethead......

Well that's how it used to work on those early text to speech programs - by writing phonetically, you could get the voice(s) to speak the words correctly, especially words that defied the rules. And sometimes the written "words" could get pretty crazy, but the results were worth it!

Indeed! I think it would definitely take a bit of experimenting.

I'd need to listen again, but there were definitely some other moments where character was broken due to favouring correct enunciation, and where aiming for a more 'street' form of speech e.g dropping of hard, distinct consonants and vowels; ditching superfluous syllables, and dispensing with silent letters e.g 'heart' becoming 'hart', might really improve flow.

Cool technology..,BUT....every time I here “vocaloid” type music it makes me depressed with a feeling that life isn’t worth living anymore. Seriously, I’d almost rather be burned alive than live in a world full of this warped computer-generated distopian vocal-hell. Just my personal opinion though, :)
