Now here is the Hive version I've just made.
Very different but I also like it.

Give me one example of your supermodern sound which you think is not achievable with zebra ( exluding granular + sampling )
(no external processing)

Back to 1998...
Reminds me of Cappella, Masterboy, Dj Bobo, Ice MC or other eurodance supersaws...

claudedefaren wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 1:42 amSIKE! I made that in Serum. Funnily though, I thought yours sounded pretty old school too, and you can hear it in my trying to copy it.DJErmac wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 1:36 amWell, as you can hear... there is a big big big problem...claudedefaren wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 1:34 amhttps://www.dropbox.com/s/dxds5lxe87mkk ... r.wav?dl=0DJErmac wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 12:34 amOK, this is the exact file I already posted when we had this talk a few months ago.gentleclockdivider wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 12:31 amDude please , stop it already !

It's a 2015 song. But I checked, this discussion dates back from 2018 actually.

I took the first good sounding supersaw in Avenger that reminded me of that one and played this melody for the demo. Never tried to copy it.

No, simply NO. You made a patch that sounds like eurodance sounds. Period. That is exactly what I answered.claudedefaren wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 1:42 am Confirmation bias, man. If you believe that Zebra is dated, and you think you are hearing an example from Zebra, you will perceive it as dated.
Make it with Zebra, Avenger, Rapid or whatever you want. If you make a cheap sounding supersaw, it sounds cheap, no bias here.
BTW Serum can produce awesome supersaws.

Some synths can, some other can't. Serum can.claudedefaren wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 2:00 am So what you're saying is, it's not the synth, it's how you use it?

Yours is 400% stronger for sure, but I couldn't help thinking about those kind of sounds hearing it because of its lack of octaves stacking (from 1'16).claudedefaren wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 2:01 am Also here's an awesome mix of 90's eurodance hits: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtKAvn7eaY8
I don't hear anything like anything we've posted in any of those songs, are you thinking of a song in particular from that era?

Please remember that I said ”reminds me”, never said ”sounds like”.

So, trance modern sound from which year started? (or should I say from which month! )
btw, just after a quick search I found some selling libraries for Zebra trance, are these not modern:
https://www.zenhiser.com/products/zebra ... ce-presets
and
https://www.freshlysqueezedsamples.com/ ... ume-1.html
So, it seems there is a trance market for Zebra!

I’m not into trance personally, but EDM is a weird market. In 2013, my label told me : ”your track sounds too 2012. Make it sound 2013”.EnGee wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 2:09 am So, trance modern sound from which year started? (or should I say from which month! )
