Frankly I don’t care if they know more or less about synths than you. But I do hope it’s likely people will take their opinion more seriously than yours.BONES wrote: ↑Sun Jan 06, 2019 1:55 am And you think those guys know more about it than I do? I imagine they weren't even born when I bought my first synth. But it's a personal thing, you can't afford to be sensitive about it. Some people will find the sound pleasing, some people won't. That's life.

That will be up to people but I've been doing this for a very long time, so I think I have a pretty good handle on it all, and when you listen to 50 or 60 presets and they all have similarities in the way they sound, I think it is there for anyone to hear. It's just how useful each of us find that particular sound for what they do that will determine whether they see the value in it or not.

I tried Zone for less than 5 minutes, and I am totally hooked on it. Look, you gotta know what you are looking for. I have been scoping this synth for weeks. I wanted something that has a super similar setup as the Dave Smith Instruments Evolver, and Zone totally reminds me of its spirit, and huge modulation matrix. The thing I loved about the Evolver, was that you could basically route the sequencers to anything. I totally love that you could do that with Zone. Not that you cant do that with lets say Serum, Massive or Pigments, but something about Zone screams modular, and it sounds very organic. The layout is super simple to figure out, and there aren't many things I would change aside from adding the option to make the sequencers zoom in, sort of like a tab page. so you could switch back and forth. It would make editing much easier IMO. Other than that, I think if you are looking for a Dave Smith Instruments style synth, this one definitely reminds me of an Evolverkattstrike wrote: ↑Thu Nov 22, 2018 1:16 pmHey! Ahh that's great that you love itiNNeRNoiZe wrote: ↑Thu Nov 22, 2018 10:26 am Wow, I love this plugin. It has become my main workhorse in less than 2 hours.
in some Youtube videos I can see user waveforms of analog synthesizers, where can I download them? Any Idea?
And it EATS cpu power!
In terms of CPU, you can change the quality to "Eco" on the synth. If you use patches that have lots of voices that's also going to take a lot of power (as they're "true" polyphonic voices), so try reducing them to 1 or 2 and see how you get on.
As for waveforms, Zone works best with single-cycle waveforms (although, I often import in sounds I generally like... haha). There's loads of stuff on Google if you search "single cycle waveform samples" - I found this one whilst doing a quick search.
Hope that helps!

We put a lot of work into this pack so we'd love to hear some of your thoughts if any of you get the chance to try it!

I've just noticed that the price has been lowered ($139->$115). And it's still shown as "introductory price".
I remember this synth sounded excellent, the only thing that stopped me from buying it was the price. Now that it's 99€, I'm thinking again...

OK - I am in the Zone. I also demoed before and liked it but didn’t need it so thought I would wait for a sale...the £89 price point was close enough!
It’s a realy easy synth to program nice evolving pads or modular type sequences (it does modular better than a lot of the ‘patch cable’ type modular VSTs)
All in all I am realy impressed, some good bread and butter VA sounds and some very Compex sequences and song starters....
