You could of course draw the mod wheel automation on a CC track! Getting som ebends in the right place … hard work though if you want lots! :dog:

Yes, of course, but this is about performing to me, you know. I play my tracks live as much as possible. Particularly melody leads I sense, channel or let flow into the track and can use every performance tool I can get. I remapped some sliders of my keyboard for the flute in my submission track and have managed to play with them, which has been somewhat awkward. It worked, though.

But, yeah, I do draw automation curves a lot, especially for gain.

@T, of course, getting the mod just right has to be done at play time! You just *have* to feel it.

Seems a little quiet around here, so I'll add some volume! I happened upon these bits over the past few days...

z.prime - Survival

https://soundcloud.com/z_prime/survival

Used: bitwig + 46 triple cheese or so
Host FX: eq-5, reverb, compressor, tool, limiter, dynamics, delay-2, distortion, blur
Other FX: limiter6, ott, tal reverb 4, oril river, freeverb pro-g, tdr nova

Enjoy!

@z.prime - I really like your entry! Especially impressed by the drum sounds you achieved :o

Here's my entry (I have until the 1st to make changes to it, right?). It's probably a little quiet, I forgot how to mix/master (it has too many broad-spectrum sounds, and I really don't want it to have audible pumping!) If anybody has any suggestions to improve the level (or sound in general) I could totally use them.

EDIT: updated mix/master (final submission, I think...)
https://soundcloud.com/rellyk/fundido-mixedmastered

Old version was https://soundcloud.com/rellyk/fundido

REAPER, 20 instances of Triple Cheese, mostly stock REAPER FX (plus TDR VOS SlickEQ and epicVerb).

It's been literally 8 years since I finished a personal piece of music, thank you OSC for the inspiration! And Triple Cheese is absolutely amazing, I've been skipping it all these years since it seemed like a joke...

Jeeeez, yeah, no, TC is no joke... love the thing! :)
...your song is WILD, Rellik, makes me extra thrilled you went for it! So much crazy energy in there and fantastic rhythms. There's fantastic clarity in your mix, but it seems like it's a little tame in the bottom section. I love that you say you don't want pumping, I can only agree, I dislike it, too, unless it really screams pumping. Even in Z's mad piece, the pumping distracted me and it just feels too urgent, almost unsettling to listen to. Great stuff in there, too, but...eh...I just need to take a breath half way through that one.
In yours, well, yeah, it could push a bit more the bottom and a carefully timed side chain with just enough pull to keep the levels clear for the final limiting. Something like TDR Nova can do fantastic, but can also tease you into training the hf more and more until the rest begins to thin out too much, if you asked me. My big thing is the overall enjoyment to listen to a track and not any required pain threshold or record breaking metering...makes me drop points quick and hard. Your music is incredible and full of awesome moments. Just seek balance, fullness where it wants to be and let all the glory of it be heard. It's freaking awesome! :hyper:  :tu:

@Rellik thanks for the kind words. but your track pretty well blew me away from a composition standpoint. get some better drums in there and [not much of a] slightly better mix and I hear a winner!

@Taron your feedback is appreciated. Can't wait to hear what you came up with. I'm sure it's magical.

Hey all, I just uploaded my track!

My first ever track for the KVR One Synth Challenge. I had a lot of fun creating my own sounds and didn't use any presets. The track turned out quite weird, so I gave it a weird name. I spent quite a lot of time mixing it. I have no idea what I'm doing, this is a hobby for me.

https://soundcloud.com/ranoka/the-trine ... oumination

Made for KVR OSC #116 Triple Cheese synth by U-he
FL Studio 20.0.4
18 instances of Triple Cheese

FL Native Effects:
Fruity Reverb 2 x6
Fruity Delay 3
Fruity Stereo Enhancer x2
Fruity Parametric EQ 2 x7
Fruity Limiter x5 (including kick/snare sidechain)
Maximus (on master)

3rd Party:
OTT (on the kick)

I want to thank z.prime and Leonard Bowman for the early feedback in the Slack channel. And to dlarseninclusive for the detailed suggestions on the u-he FB group.
