As for this thread, I shall step down off my high yak and now offer a proper bass-laden answer:

1) U-he Ace. Great for bass (perhaps surprisingly?)
2) Trilian
3) SubBoomBass
4) Korg Polysix
5) GForce M-Tron Pro. (Not particularly good for bass but something beautiful about playing a Mellotron on a train perhaps?)

How do you put that Polysix on the table? Do you connect it to an amp? The Mellotron certainly would only fit in the bike area...
